Tattoo Etiquette  Something to think about...

The above blog post is a must read that I just had to share. I completely agree with everything this girl says. I have had similar experiences myself due to being tattooed. Don't people understand that the exact same rules apply to tattooed women, that apply to everyone else in society! Would you go round talking to random people in the supermarket, getting right up in their faces, touching their clothes and bodies, just because you're curious or see something you like??? Would this kind of behavior be acceptable if the person was physically disabled/deformed? I think not.

What is beauty?

It's accepted that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and what one person finds aesthetically pleasing, another finds repulsive. But the media thrusts image upon image of slender, tanned, airbrushed women at us on a daily basis. Petite, thin women, with long straight golden hair. This is what the majority of western society apparently finds attractive.

Unlike fashion, the idea of what, or who, is beautiful stays fairly stable across the decades. But where does it come from? Who has decided that this is what we should find attractive?
