Vegan Cookies

Yesterday I spent some time between world cup bouts baking some super tasty cookies. They're based on a Sarah Kramer recipe for vegan chocolate chip cookies, but I added cocoa powder, peanut butter and chunks instead of chips. They're amazingly yummy! ^_^

I baked a ridiculous amount, so spent the majority of my evening stuffing my face with enough cookies to make myself feel somewhat sick and watching the world's top roller derby teams battle it out. A fine time to be had!

Yesterday was day one of the first ever roller derby world cup. A monumental moment for the sport. There are hundreds of well written articles about the world cup, and even more about roller derby in general, so I don't feel it necessary to go into great detail about it all myself. I'm just extremely excited about the whole event and hope it helps UK teams get the recognition they deserve.

Unfortunately I won't be able to catch many live bouts due to the time difference and work commitments. Fingers crossed that all the bouts will be available to watch prerecorded somewhere on the web afterwards. If anyone knows where this may be, please tell me!!
